My specialties
Life Transitions can turn everything upside down. Changing cities or jobs, having children, going through a divorce, losing someone important, or even feeling like you no longer recognize yourself—these transitions are a part of life, but they can bring anxiety, a sense of losing control, and emotional burdens that are hard to carry alone.
But you don’t have to face this unprepared. With the right strategies, it’s possible to turn uncertainty into clarity, regain your strength, and find new meaning in your life.
If you’re going through a transition and feel that you need support to navigate it, I’m here to help.

I offer support to Brazilian immigrants, understanding the emotional and cultural nuances involved in adapting to a new country. I recognize the importance of exploring emotional aspects in one’s native language and with a therapist who shares a similar cultural background, as it fosters a sense of safety and connection.
Together, we can address issues such as sense of belonging, isolation, adaptation, and mental health, helping you find balance and well-being in your new journey.

I have training and clinical experience in providing support to young adults, adults, and elderly individuals diagnosed with cancer, as well as their family caregivers, through various aspects of the illness process, including diagnosis, active treatment, recurrence, palliative care, and survivorship. I work with individuals facing advanced diagnoses, providing a safe space for expressing emotions and concerns.
I have experience working with individuals dealing with cancer, addressing issues related to the impact on body image, treatment side effects, fertility, relationships, and post-treatment adaptation. I also offer support for challenges such as: communicating the diagnosis to others, spirituality, dealing with uncertainties, fear of cancer recurrence, and fear of death.

Caring for a loved one with a chronic illness can also generate intense emotional distress for family caregivers. Studies show that caregivers experience significant emotional strain during this journey. I offer specialized support for caregivers, helping them reframe this experience and reconnect with self-care practices. I also provide grief support for individuals who have cared for a loved one with a chronic illness.
The Chronic Illness I work with include: cancer, dementia/Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular diseases, autoimmune diseases.

Publications
I have experience in research and have published impactful articles in the scientific community, investigating the experience of individuals living with cancer and their families, considering the existential and spiritual aspects of this experience, as well as the impact of caregiving in the grieving process.
